INTERNATIONAL VOCAL WORKSHOP

Singing Without Borders Vocal Workshop (part of the Festival) offers participants a unique opportunity to work with experienced vocal pedagogues who specialize in a variety of repertoires, with amazing options!

Our workshops are open to individuals at all levels of vocal development, including opera soloists who are skilled teachers, beginners, students, choristers, choir conductors, pianists, and instrumentalists. The workshops include both group and individual sessions.

The ensemble workshop program features popular works like HabaneraToreador CoupletsO Sole Mio, and the famed Brindisi (Libiamo) from La Traviata. Concerts have also included arias and duets from CarmenLes Contes d’HoffmannDon Carlos, and L’elisir d’amore.

Each participant performs in unique concerts featuring a repertoire of the most beautiful opera arias, choral, and operetta pieces, accompanied by our world-class opera soloists.

Every year, participants enjoy a 3-day retreat to Chochołów, a picturesque area in the Tatra Mountains, where they can rest and relax in thermal baths.


Workshop Options

1. Solo Singing Masterclass

For soloists, vocal students, and talented amateurs:

  • Focus on bel canto techniques, classical repertoire, and operatic performance skills.
  • Masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Arnold Rutkowski, Ole Jørgen Kristiansen, Monika Świostek, Luca Tamani, Jadwiga Postrożna, Włodzimierz Zalewski, Katarzyna Haras, and others.
  • Guidance on stage presence, acting in singing, emotional expression, and improving communication with the audience through performance.

2. Ensemble and Choral Masterclass

Open to everyone (both individuals and groups can apply):

  • Emphasis on teamwork in vocal ensembles and choirs.
  • Learn advanced breathing techniques.
  • Training on harmony, blending, and collaborative singing.
  • Exploration of vocal traditions from around the world.
  • Opera and sacred repertoire with practical input from opera soloists offering singing tips.
  • Collaboration with great conductors like Jon Fylling (Norway), Maksymilian Żelazny (Poland), and Małgorzata Langer-Król (Poland).
  • Outcome: A great festival vocal ensemble performing with opera soloists on stage, showcasing the most beautiful repertoire.

3. Beginner and Amateur Support

Tailored sessions for those who are new to singing or wish to refine foundational skills:

  • Focus on building confidence and vocal technique.
